Qusay Awad's exhibition explores how architecture preserves memories through sculptures, installations and sound works.
The second segment of the exhibition within the annual theme Heimsuchungen/Hauntings is titled Sediment. The exhibition by architect and multimedia artist Qusay Awad draws on archival materials, architectural research, field recordings and site-specific observations.
Through sculptures, installations and sound installation, Awad explores the question of how architecture preserves memories – as material artefacts and spatial imprints – and how traces of past uses haunt the site, like ghosts of times gone by. Curated by Alin Daghestani and Hannah van der Est
