An afternoon of art and discovery. Take a Private View of Learned Behavior, the 3-hour solo exhibition by LaPorcshia Winfield. Attend for a thoughtful experience of memory, family and the experiences that shape us.

About the Artist LaPorcshia Winfield is a self taught visual artist born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Working primarily in oil painting, her work reflects a natural curiosity about human behavior and the ways our experiences influence who we become. Through “Learned Behavior”, Winfield hopes to encourage viewers to reflect on their own memories, discover new meaning and familiar experiences. Winfield received a Spirit of Detroit Award as an “Artist Extraordinarie” presented by Detroit City Councilman, Coleman A. Young II. Her work has since been exhibited at Norwest Gallery, Push Gallery, and The Hendrie Art Gallery.

About Private View Private View is a platform for emerging art-world voices, and this is our first editorial encounter. Usually reserved for people already on the list, this one is open to everyone. Observe. Ask questions. Stay as long as you like.

OPEN TO ALL. RSVP REQUIRED.
