Hear STEM specialists share their career journeys, join interactive workshops and network over refreshments.

You'll have the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops with STEM specialists who will provide insight into their career journeys and what their incredible roles entail.

We are delighted to be welcoming: Ella Greenwood – Materials and Analyst Scientist (Abbey Alumna, Class of 2020) Ella Greenwood holds a Chemistry MChem degree from the University of Oxford and works as a materials and analytical scientist specialising in inorganic materials in the defence industry. Amy Latimer – Science Manager (Abbey Alumna, Class of 2009) Amy Latimer works at AWE (Atomic Weapons Establishment) in Radiological Instrumentation and Calibration.

Amy spent nine years in the NHS as a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion and holds a BSc (Hons) Biochemistry degree and MSc in Health and Clinical Science from the University of Surrey. David Fergusson – Chemical Engineer David Ferguesson graduated from university with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons). He began his journey as a chemical engineer in operations before moving into Project Engineering and Management.

David now works in a global role, supporting engineering offices as a technical expert and in business development strategies for the Upstream Energy Industry.

After hearing from each of our STEM industry guests and taking part in our interactive workshops, there will be a chance to network and hear more from our guests over refreshments.

Please note that one of our guests has a nut allergy. We kindly ask that you keep this in mind for your visit.

Parking on site will be extremely limited, and the school car park is closed between 15:30-16:00, so we recommend parking along Kendrick Road or elsewhere.
