Paws to Read
Drop-in 10-minute reading sessions for children (birth–5) with a certified pet therapy dog to build confidence.
Paws to Read encourages children to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a certified pet therapy dog. Children who find it intimidating to read with peers can read to the non‑judgmental, calming therapy dog.
Each 10‑minute session includes a child, a parent or guardian, a dog handler and a certified pet therapy dog. Parent or guardian supervision is required during the reading session. Space is limited.
In‑person sign up is required and available at the Ask Desk starting at 3:00pm on the day of the event. Provided in partnership with Love on a Leash and Canine Companions.
Same venue: Fallbrook Library
