About the Film Uncommitted Uncommitted follows Arab and Muslim American organizers who led a groundbreaking protest vote in the 2024 Democratic primaries, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. With over 100,000 “uncommitted” votes in Michigan alone, the movement sparked national attention, shook the Democratic Party, and brought Palestine into mainstream political discourse. But when Kamala Harris lost the general election, activists were scapegoated for the defeat. Through vérité footage and intimate interviews, the film captures their resilience in the face of grief, threats, and blame, and their effort to build lasting power in a country that often excludes them.
