One-day fair of publishers and talks at Libreria and Second Home with panels, magazine stalls and a rooftop party.

Typographia is a new one-day celebration of books, magazines and the enduring pleasures of print brought to you by Libreria, one of London's most acclaimed independent bookshops

Taking over Libreria and Second Home Spitalfields, directly opposite the shop, the fair will bring together more than 60 of the most exciting publishers, such as Penguin International, Fitzcarraldo Editions, Rizzoli, Akoya, W.W. Norton, And Other Stories, Fly on the Wall Press, and Dead Ink Books, as well as some of today's most exciting culture, food, and travel magazines.

But Typographia is more than a marketplace. Its programme will bring together leading writers, editors, translators, prize-makers and cultural figures to explore the forces reshaping what, and how, we read, alongside sessions with magazine editors working across food, design, fashion and travel. Talks & Conversations Alongside the book and magazine fair, Typographia features a full programme of conversations with writers, editors and publishers throughout the day.

12.OO PM | Gaby Wood + Sir Ben Okri | After the Shortlist The Chief Executive of the Booker Prize Foundation joins us just days after the 2026 Booker shortlist announcement to talk about literary taste, prizes and what makes a Booker book.

1.00 PM | David Wolf & Rob Orchard | In Praise of Slow Journalism The editor of The Guardian Long Read and co-editor of Delayed Gratification discuss what journalism gains when it resists the pressure to be immediate.

2.00 PM | Jordan Prosser & Ben Pester | How Strange Is Now? On writing the present when the present already feels unreal — from technology and climate anxiety to work, ambition, absurdity and the uncanny.

3.00 PM | Derek Owusu & Tice Cin with Bidisha | How Do We Make a Life?

On friendship, recovery, community, belonging and the forms contemporary fiction invents to make sense of fractured lives.

4.00 PM | Geoff Dyer | Beyond Genre A conversation about the freedom of not knowing what kind of book you're writing — and what becomes possible when fiction, memoir, criticism, travel writing and essay start to blur.

5.00 PM | Adam Thirlwell | What Gets Lost, and Found, in Translation?

A conversation about translation, literary discovery and the creative possibilities that arise when books move across languages and borders.

Your ticket includes entry to the fair, a limited-edition Typographia tote bag to fill with goodies from our publishers, plus admission to our closing rooftop party from 7 to late, with drinks, music and panoramic views across East London. VAT and tickets fees are included in the price.

This event is wheelchair-accessible.

Note: Fair ends at 6pm. Rooftop party runs 6-9pm
