For the grand finale of THEYFRIEND 2026, we’re throwing the prom we always deserved!
For many people, prom was a rite of passage we weren’t yet able or allowed to fully show up as ourselves. Nonbinary Prom is our chance to reclaim it : to dress how we want, dance with who we want, and celebrate the people we’ve become.
Hosted by OBSIDIENNE OBSURD , the night features music all night from DJ Arc , with performances by musician Sarya , circus artist Chanty , and drag sensation JanpiStar .
We’re also thrilled to welcome our headliner, Figgy Baby , an internationally touring nonbinary Mexican rapper known for their gender-defying style, thoughtful lyricism, and high-energy performances.
And what would prom be without a crown? We’re saying goodbye to Prom Kings and Queens and searching for our Prom Quings ! Strut your stuff in our prom walk-off for the chance to be crowned THEYFRIEND royalty.
Whether you’re reliving prom, reclaiming it, or experiencing it for the very first time, come dressed as the version of yourself you want to celebrate. Bring a date, bring your friends, come solo, dress all the way up or invent your own version of formalwear.
This time, prom belongs to us.
Accessibility Information The Grand Theater is wheelchair accessible, with a step-free entrance to the performance space. Two wheelchair-accessible, all-gender single-stall restrooms are located on the ground floor. Additional multi-stall restrooms are located on the mezzanine level and require the use of stairs.
A sensory decompression room will be available throughout the event for guests who need a quieter space away from the main festivities. Due to the limitations of the venue, this room is located on the second floor and is only accessible by stairs. We recognize this is not an ideal access arrangement and encourage guests who may need an alternative accommodation to reach out to us in advance.
This is primarily a standing and dancing event, with scattered seating available throughout the space for guests who need or prefer to sit. If you have accessible seating needs, please let us know in advance.
This event will include amplified music, theatrical lighting, and a dance floor.
KN95 masks are recommended and will be available at the event.
If you have any access needs or requests, please email [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate you!
