My Second Language

Join us for the opening night of My Second Language, beginning with a warm welcome and a short introduction to the project and the ideas behind the exhibition.

ABOUT THE ARTIST Zaida Jalhk is a Colombian filmmaker and visual storyteller based in Brisbane. Her work is driven by an interest in finding different ways to tell stories. Throughout her creative practice, she has explored the combination of live-action, animation, photography and written forms, using each medium as part of the storytelling process. This experimental approach allows her to create narratives where images, words and different visual languages come together to communicate emotions, ideas and human experiences. INSTAGRAM
