CROAK!

or: a double dozen artists explain a favorite joke in a standup-like environment with an ear towards the too deep, the obtuse, the theoretical, the tangential, the thorough, the probing, the personal, the prolongedly paradoxical and perverse. Performances last between 3 and 6 minutes.

**** I think here of how comics kill ; how comics die ; the old cliché that a joke is like a frog — you dissect it and it dies; and even the Barnett Newman quip "aesthetics is for the artist as ornithology is for the birds", even though I know birds aren't frogs.
