Touch Object Experience
Hands-on museum experience on the last Saturday monthly letting visitors touch historic film objects with staff facilitation
11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Get your hands on the museum! On the last Saturday of every month, visitors will be able to interact with a selection of touch objects in the third-floor gallery, facilitated by Museum staff. Learn more about the story of the moving image through touching objects like cameras, life masks, materials from the Jim Henson Creature Workshop, and more. Find visual and audio descriptions of the current touch objects here.
Large print guides are also available at the experience and at the front desk upon request. MoMI is committed to expanding accessibility offerings, and this experience was made possible by New York Community Trust. Free with Museum admission.
