Using a garment as your starting point, this workshop introduces fundamental techniques for analysing its shape, tracing its components and developing a reusable sewing pattern.
In this workshop you will: Examine the construction of your chosen garment and identify its individual pattern pieces. Learn techniques for tracing and transferring garment shapes without pulling the original apart. Understand essential pattern-making principles, including seam allowances. Understand garment flow and add identifying guidelines to patterns.
Make a solid start on creating a reusable pattern of your favourite garment, with instructions on how to finish the process from the comfort of your home. Our creative workshops are an invitation to deepen your creative skills. The workshops are delivered by experienced local creatives and expert staff in an inclusive space.
