Tim Grimm

For a quarter of a century, Tim Grimm has been writing songs of stunning – and increasingly rare – quality.

Each new recording by Grimm represents a poetic, intense, passionate immersion in the heart of America. His songs are authentic, straight from the heart, quietly breathtaking.

A magnificent songwriter and a storyteller with the ability to connect to audiences in an intimate and natural way, Grimm is a master craftsman sitting down, painting a picture, and giving a master class.

Born and raised in Indiana, Tim has developed a distinct voice shaped by the Midwest.

In these days, Grimm carries the torch of Woody Guthrie’s social conscience, the refined and authentic storytelling of Guy Clark.

At his side stands guitarist- and mythic cowboy- Sergio Webb, one of Americana’s most distinctive and electrifying sidemen. Together, Tim Grimm and Sergio Webb form a duo that is more than the sum of its parts. Their chemistry is intense, intuitive, and endlessly captivating, drawing audiences into a performance that feels alive, restless, and beautifully human. This is not just a collaboration. It’s a conversation. A spark. A shared flame.

“[Grimm] crafts cinematic moments that play out vividly as he illustrates the little struggles and glories that live in our mundane activities and they illumine our experiences of loss.” -Alan Cackett

“The musical implementation is concentrated Grimm’s rough voice and his elaborately and straight-lined plucked folk guitar. In the singular poignancy of these songs, one believes one can feel the flannel shirt on one’s skin, the ax in one’s hand, the smell of grass and moss and forest. That’s exactly what Bob Dylan must have had in mind when he invented this type of song a good 60 years ago.” – Michael Lohr, Akustik Gitarre
