This 6-week course is designed to demystify the world of technical pattern construction. You will be supported through every stage of the professional process, from taking accurate body measurements to drafting your own basic blocks (slopers) from scratch. This class is all about giving you the tools to create garments that truly fit your unique body and style.

Technical Skills You’ll Master:

• Measurement Accuracy : Learn the industry secrets to taking precise body measurements, which are the foundation of any well-fitting garment.

• Pattern Drafting Tools : Get hands-on experience using professional tools, including the L-Square for perfect right angles and the French Curve for drafting smooth, professional necklines and armscyes.

• Block Construction : Understand the logic behind drafting basic bodice or skirt blocks that serve as the blueprint for all future designs.

• Pattern Manipulation : Learn how to pivot darts, add seam allowances, and make essential alterations to achieve your desired silhouette.
