Johnson County Conservation Seed Processing
Volunteer to crush, sift and sort native prairie seeds for fall planting while socializing with friends.
Join Johnson County Conservation for a Prairie Seed Processing volunteer event! Volunteers will help break down native seeds for fall planting through actions such as crushing, plucking, sifting, and sorting. This seated activity is a relaxed, slow-paced way to volunteer and a great way to learn more about native prairie plants.
After learning how to process seeds there will be plenty of time to socialize while we work – so bring a friend and join us to help restore native habitats in Johnson County!
