High Walker

Thursday Blues @ Liquid Bar. HIGH WALKER (USA–FR) High Walker is a collaboration between veteran local bluesman Dave White (USA) on vocals and harmonica, and Valentin Djemai (FR) on guitar. Dave has been a well-established and recognised figure on the local and national blues scene since 1995. He has performed on stage with artists such as Carl Wyatt and Louisiana Red. Valentin is an up-and-coming young guitarist who has been gaining considerable recognition on the local and national scene. He has been performing live since 2016 in bars, festivals and clubs, including events such as The Guitar Battle (2022 and 2025), which featured many other established local and national guitarists. In 2022, Valentin was invited by Dave White to take part in a recording session. They decided to continue working together and formed the High Walker project. Together, they deliver wild, high-energy, rocking blues with an authentic, down-and-dirty American sound, backed by an equally solid rhythm section (bass and drums) that is sure to rock the house!
