June 1947 and C.S. Lewis is at the height of his academic career when he’s suddenly summoned from Oxford to Drogheda, Co. Louth where his brother Warnie lies dying. What follows is a week of discovery; of Ireland, of its people and memories of a life caught up in grief, responsibility and unwavering loyalty. As C.S. uncovers his great strengths and undeniable faults, the fragments of Narnia emerge. Based on true events, this show is an original take on the origin story of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Written by Nicola Cassidy, an award-winning writer from Co. Louth, this play is a special original commission by An Táin Arts Centre.
