REDESIGN
Redesigning Student Learning in the Age of AI
This highly interactive workshop will refocus on the student learning experience and explore how AI can support, rather than replace, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and meaningful cognitive engagement.
Working in small groups, faculty will explore real teaching situations and consider how learning activities can be redesigned for an AI-rich environment.
Margarida is developing a template and card-based activity specifically for the workshop, centred on the different roles AI can play as a creative partner. Participants will explore AI in divergent and convergent thinking, collaborative work, constructive challenge and critical thinking including strategies for what learners should do before, during and after engaging with AI.
The objective is not to add AI to existing activities simply because we can. It is to ask a more important question: how can we redesign learning so that students continue to think, create, question and collaborate?
Interactive workshop: 11:00 am-12:30 pm | Room E008
