In 2006, it started in a living room: a house party where everyone wore black. Then came The Blackprint at the NC Museum of Life and Science. Then Distinguished, a black tie gala at the JB Duke Hotel. Now, for year twenty, Heart of the City is blacking out the sun. Black Eclipse XX: The Art of Black is an elevated day party that turns into night. Doors open at golden hour, and as the sun sets, we go into totality: a celebration of art, fashion, music, and 20 years of the Black Party.
