Four-week beginner ballroom series learning tango timing, basic steps and partner technique with Trudy & Kevin Sherman.
Once the dancers are comfortable with their steps, lead and follow practice together.
Each class covers a single dance style. The same style is taught for 4 consecutive weeks. Examples include swing, hustle, nightclub, rumba, cha cha, waltz, foxtrot, and tango. To maximize learning and increase retention of what is learned, it is recommended to attend all weeks.
1st week: History, timing, basic steps, posture, balance, and foot techniques 2nd – 4th week: Short review followed by instruction for a few additional steps different from previous weeks.
