Community riverfront clean-up with microplastic sampling and free sausage sizzle at Halliday Park.
This Riverfest, join your community for a hands-on clean-up to help prepare our foreshore, river and parks for the return of migratory shorebirds, including Bar-tailed Godwits and Curlew Sandpipers, as they journey back to our city from the Arctic.
Join us to protect these incredible visitors and support Our Living River. Cleaning materials will be provided, and volunteers can enjoy a free sausage sizzle!
Plus, AUSMAP will be onsite with a hands-on microplastic sampling and education session. Get involved, discover what’s in our waterways, and help contribute valuable data to the AUSMAP Hotspot Map!
