DITTY

Ditty is an Indian-born, Berlin-based songwriter, poet, and urban ecologist whose practice bridges music, activism, and the politics of care.

She plays with a certain unmistakable depth in her songs and is also distinguished by her storytelling. She has been warmly welcomed by the German music community, with RBB radioeins praising her work as “a message of attentiveness, emotion, and connection”.

Her new album, KĀLĪ, establishes her as a strong South Asian diasporic voice in the indie landscape. The release has expanded her international fanbase, with Ditty developing a distinctive artistic language and visual universe through YouTube videos that have collectively amassed over a million streams.

Ditty is signed to the respected German independent label and publisher Clouds Hill (The Mars Volta). Her commitment to climate action is demonstrated by pioneering projects such as Make Forests Not War — India’s first carbon-neutral tour — and strategic collaborations with environmental organisations including Greenpeace, Viva Con Agua, and the Rockefeller Foundation.
