How can writers tell the difference between commercial and literary fiction?

At our August meeting, we'll examine a simple framework for sorting prose into scenes and "postcards," as one tool for telling the two writing styles apart.

W&S is a group for writers of all kinds to learn, practice, and share the art and craft of writing. Our main purpose is to try to help each other through the maze of things you must do as writers; from writing to editing and on to publishing and marketing your books, short stories, essays, or anything else. Discussion topics will vary and sometimes repeat depending upon the needs of the members at the time.
