Workshop: Jesmonite Casting
Hands-on Jesmonite casting workshop with William Davis — mix, cast and take home a small planter or coaster.
For our second workshop, we’re hosting a workshop with William Davis on Jesmonite casting! No prior experience needed, all equipment and materials will be provided.
Jesmonite is a liquid-and-powder mix that hardens into a smooth, stone-like material within 20 minutes and easily dyed or marbled. It’s easy to mix up, and quick to cure — the ideal material for learning about casting in molds.
In this workshop we will cover: The basics of mold casting The specifics of casting with Jesmonite A demonstration of Jesmonite casting Mixing and casting your own item to take home
We will be providing a variety of silicone molds of small planters, coasters, bowls, vases and candle holders, as well as the Jesmonite and suitable add-ins.
We recommend wearing aprons or clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We will provide gloves.
The €10 cost covers all material and equipment costs, with any leftover proceeds going to fund future workshops and finding a permanent home for H91 Maker Space!
