A Women's Out Network self-defense session reframing personal safety as awareness, intuition, boundaries and choice

This September let's reframe self-defense as personal safety, awareness , choice and boundaries --not based around fear, nor preparation for violence.
Explore intuition/body cues, environmental awareness, permission to disengage early and the difference between alertness and hypervigilance.
Activities:
✨Introduce new patterns: Guided Breathe ⟶ Orient ⟶ Scan ⟶ Stand/Speak practices, with low-pressure voice-and-movement stations using ordinary scenarios: entering a space, creating distance, choosing an exit, setting a clear boundary and checking in with a buddy.
✨Experience guided self-defense escape techniques.
✨Create a personal "safety anchors" card: what I notice, what I trust, what I say and what I do next.
Takeaways: Trust your gut and intuition, increase everyday awareness, and boundaries.
