Date: Sunday 17 January, 2027
Time: 10am – 4pm
Venue: Building 3 Lions Community Hall, 8 Russell Drysdale St
East Gosford (entrance at the rear of the building)
About This Workshop:
You may be familiar with weaving - the warp and the wept on a loop and the use of a shuttle.
Well, Wild Weaving has a warp and wept. Your mantra is "under over, under over" as you work. The process is more creative, free form, instead of only parallel repetitions.
Your wall hanging will be as individual as you.
No right or wrong. Creativity. Fun. Relaxing.
Your master piece will stay on the circular wooden hoop that supports the warp. The neutral coloured materials used to weave in and out come from up-cycling. This encourages the practice of using what you have at hand - yarn, ribbon, fabric strips, threads. The hoop and all these textile items will be provided for a charge of $10 cash to Karen on the day.
You are welcome to bring personal, special embellishing items such as Grandma's beads, buttons and lace if you want to add them to your piece.

Materials will be provided.
(Additional payment of $10 in cash to tutor on the day)
Morning tea will be provided.
What to Bring
A notebook to jot dot ideas and answers to questions.
Additional embellishment items if you wish to include- ( eg beads, lace, buttons etc) Your lunch. Enclosed shoes, as required for participation. The Makers Studio
Tea/coffee/milk will be available at the studio.
