Weekly relaxed music session for beginner to intermediate acoustic instrumentalists led by local facilitator Rose
Many of us learned a music instrument as kids. Some of us played in bands, but gave it up to raise families, pursue careers or take on other commitments. And now that musical urge is looking for an outlet again!
But where to play? At Weekday Sessions you can join other players to brush up your technique while learning, sharing and playing familiar tunes. Not a band, not a music school: Weekday Sessions is a no-pressure weekly gathering designed for anyone with beginner or intermediate instrumental experience wanting to play music with others in a session format.
BYO (acoustic) instrument.
About the Facilitator: Rose majored in Fine Arts, and taught animation and creative arts in higher education for 18 years in Melbourne. Rose learned piano as a child but didn’t pursue music seriously until, jobless at 62, she decided to learn the violin. How hard could that be? Very hard! But discovering Celtic music was the key to gaining the confidence to enjoy playing with others. From absolute beginner five years ago to hosting musical get-togethers, Rose is now a competent intermediate fiddle player.
