Weed Murder
A Halloween-morning volunteer session hunting down invasive plants along the trails of Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve.
Spooky season is here, and it's time for Weed Murder! Join us as we venture into the preserve to hunt down some of our creepiest species: invasive plants! We'll spend the morning removing unwanted plants along the trails and throughout the preserve, helping keep our natural spaces healthy and looking their best.
Expect to hike up to 1 mile with little elevation change. No experience is required, just bring your Halloween spirit and a willingness to get a little dirty!
Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bug spray, sunscreen, work gloves, eye protection, and water are recommended. Registration is required, and a separate registration must be completed for each ghoul participating since everyone must sign a waiver. Guardians may register on behalf of minors.
Come help us weed out the wicked and give invasive plants a Weed Murder they won't forget!
