Join Abridged by PBS KVIE , Davis Media Access and Woodland Community College on Oct. 22 as we welcome the nonprofit statewide publication CalMatters to break down, analyze and answer your burning questions about this year's general election . The conversation will be centered on the latest edition of CalMatters' Voter Guide and Abridged's local guide and coverage.
Featured guests include Abridged's Yolo County reporter Daniel Hennessy, Audience Engagement Reporter Brianna Taylor and Executive Director of Davis Media Access Autumn Labbe-Renault.
What can you expect? Come hungry and ready to have fun! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with live music, family-friendly lawn games and food. Staff is excited to meet you before the voter education event starts at 6 p.m. Food is provided by CalMatters.
A Spanish-language partner will also be in attendance.
We'll chat about voting, policy and the issues that matter most to you. Ask us about our local voter guide , too! The local iteration of this event is hosted by Woodland Community College and sponsored by Yolo Local, an initiative of Davis Media Access.
The first 50 guests receive a free Abridged tote bag when they arrive at the event. Other freebies will also be available.
Tickets are free, but seating is limited. RSVPs are highly encouraged.
