A dark comedy about a journalist chasing an exclusive with a pink-lashed aristocratic vampire — costumes welcome and a signature dance to learn.
An ambitious journalist pursues an exclusive interview with an aristocratic vampire whose pink eyelashes conceal a darker history. Presented by Creation Art Center in collaboration with The Red Umbrella Productions, Vampink! runs Saturdays, October 24, October 31 and November 7 at Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center. The journalist must first get past Colmillo, a living gargoyle who guards the vampire and tries to restrain his instincts.
José Vicente Pinto plays the enigmatic vampire, with Virginia Alvarez as the journalist and Mexican actress and classical dancer Cynthia Hamm as Colmillo. The approximately one-hour dark comedy invites audience members to attend in costume and learn its signature "Vampinkpaso" dance.
