Ultimate Tech Chase #77
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament with standard competitive rules — bring your headphones, brackets and Mii clauses apply.
Standard rules apply (3-stock, 7-minute, hazards off, etc.; if this is too vague for you, ask a TO or DM @theredsceptile on Discord)
Steve Clause
No Planking: If a Steve player mines 3 or more materials offstage without landing on the stage or a platform (platforms made by Steve's blocks do not count), then that Steve player forfeits the game. If this happens, play out the game, save the replay, and notify a TO immediately; failure to notify a TO after the next game starts (or after the set is reported) will result in no action being taken.
No Banning Stages: If the winner of a game picks Steve and their opponent picks a different character, the winner cannot ban any stage. However, if their opponent picks Steve, then normal stage ban rules apply (i.e., they can ban stages).
Audio Clause
No entrant is guaranteed the ability to listen to game audio. You are responsible for bringing headphones/a speaker if you want to listen to game audio. In the event that one person brings headphones and their opponent brings speakers, the speakers will be prioritized.
In the event that one player brings headphones and their opponent also brings headphones, TO discretion will be used (in all likelihood, the player who needs the audio most will get it—thus, a Snake player should bring a splitter). In the rare event that one person brings a pair of 3.5mm headphones and a splitter and their opponent brings USB headphones, the person with the splitter will be prioritized.
Mii Clause
When selecting characters, each possible moveset on a Mii is considered to be a unique character. If you select a Mii, you must disclose what moveset you are using and clarify it to the opponent. If you want to create a custom Mii instead of using the Guest Miis, you are limited to 3 minutes to create your Mii. You are given 4 minutes to prepare movesets for any Miis you want to use (up to a maximum of 4 Miis). Breaking any of these rules can result in a stock, game, or set loss (left to TO discretion).
