Polymer Dance presents an ensemble improvisation performance composed in real time, exploring migration, adaptation and connection.
An ensemble improvisation work created in real time through deep listening, response, and presence. Built on a unique methodology developed over years, the performance unfolds without fixed choreography, allowing dance to be composed instantaneously in relation to space, time, and each performer. Structured in three parts, two shorter works and one longer piece, each presentation is distinct and unrepeatable.
Reflecting the experience of migration, it explores adaptation, connection, and the ongoing negotiation between self, collective, and environment.
Presented by Polymer Dance, a Vancouver-based community contemporary dance company led by Artistic Director Miriam Esquitín. The company is known for its distinctive ensemble improvisation practice.
