Thirst
A family-run kitchen becomes the setting for an unraveling dinner service in a new culinary tragedy by Max Pinsky. Zoetic Stage presents a free staged reading of Thirst on Tuesday, November 17, at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Carnival Studio Theater as part of the Theater Up Close series. The six-scene play follows Chef Tyler and the relatives keeping his operation running: his wife manages the front of house, his daughter and sister-in-law serve diners and his troubled brother works as sous chef. As the demands of service intensify, family tensions threaten to overwhelm the kitchen. The presentation is a staged reading. Admission is free with an RSVP. Recommended for ages 18 and older, the reading runs approximately two hours.
