Dance theatre reflecting on faith, power and morality in post-apartheid South Africa, inspired by Mike Van Graan

Inspired by Mike Van Graan's Brothers in Blood, this dance theatre work offers an abstract reflection on South Africa's socio-political climate in 1998, particularly concerning religious practice and public morality. Rather than portraying religion or politics as inherently right or wrong, the production interrogates the tensions that arise when individual interpretations of God's will become the basis for regulating beliefs, behaviours, and theatrical imagery.

The work explores themes of power, faith, authority, tolerance, and democratic citizenship in post-apartheid South Africa.
