Supervision: Initial Training M1
Three-day residential initial supervision training (M1) for district‑nominated supervisors with follow‑up online modules and a callback assessment.
This is the initial training for district-nominated supervisors in the Methodist Church in Britain.
Supervision: Initial Training M1 You are invited to take part in a Supervision Training event. Training courses will be organised in learning groups of up to 15. Each event will involve a 3 day training (Days 1-3), 2 online training modules, a Day 4 with your triad and facilitator, and a further Call Back Event (Days 5 & 6) for assessment.

** You must have obtained permission from your District Supervision Implementation Plan holder ( typically your District Chair) to attend this training. Please ensure that you have passed on evidence of that to the Supervision team at MCH. If this is still being obtained it must be with us as soon as possible and no later than 4 weeks before the event.
**Please be aware that this is a 6 month long process - if you have a sabbatical in place or indeed a planned leave of absence during the time period between the Initial Training and Call Back, you may want to re-think the dates you are choosing as there is work that happens between those two events.
**It's an important part of your training that you are in supervision to help you unpack what you are learning and practicing. At this point every ordained person should be in supervision. If you are not, please contact your District Chair or Keeper of the Supervision Implementation Plan, to request a supervisor. They will be able to find one for you. Similarly if you are attending the training as a lay person please do contact your District Chair for advice.
