SPRING BREAKERS (FREE SCREENING)

“Spring break forever, bitches.”

A FREE SCREENING OF HARMONY KORINE'S MASTERPIECE AT THE PLAZA CAMDEN FORMALLY CAMDEN ODEON

Four college girls, a stolen getaway car, and a one-way ticket to the American Dream. Harmony Korine’s neon-soaked, sun-drenched fever dream takes the teenage spring break movie and pushes it into a hypnotic nightmare of sex, drugs, guns and Britney Spears.

Starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and an extraordinary James Franco as cornrowed gangster Alien, Spring Breakers is a delirious portrait of American excess, where the party never ends and paradise looks suspiciously like hell.

Shot in candy-coloured 35mm by Benoît Debie (Enter the Void) and propelled by a soundtrack from Skrillex and Cliff Martinez, Korine’s pop-culture masterpiece remains one of the strangest, most seductive American films of the 21st century.
