• 1st Place (50% of prize pool)
• 2nd Place (25% of prize pool)
• Tip of the Spear (25% of prize pool)
Army construction should follow the guidelines as listed in the current Spearhead rules and guidelines. We will be using maps/tables from all 3 Spearhead sets! Which one you play will be decided by which table you are playing on! Terrain set up and side of play mats will be chosen by the players, as per the Spearhead core rules.
Please upload which Spearhead you will be using on BCP before 8:00PM on Friday, Nov 27th.
In order to keep the event moving along, dice will be down at the timer running out. Scores will be final as of that moment, so if you and your opponent are wanting to talk out the remaining turn, make sure it is done before time is reached.
Tip of the Spear – During lunch, armies can be left on display to be voted on for “Tip of the Spear”. In order to be eligible for being voted on for this, every model in the Spearhead must be painted to a minimum of “Battle Ready” standard. This will be voted on by the participants, patrons, and proprietors of High Plains Dice & Games.
Proxies, Kitbashes, and Counts-As models are all more than welcome, as long as the following rules are followed:
You must use an actual model of some sort – No beer cans on bases.
The model MUST be on the correct base size.
The model must be of reasonable size in comparison to what it is replacing. This is important for visibility and line of sight. As a general rule, bigger is more acceptable than smaller.
As most Spearhead boxes are not built to specs in order to be used in AoS, WYSIWYG will not be enforced, however, any models that are not being used as WYSIWYG MUST be disclosed to your opponent prior to the beginning of your game, in the interest of fair gameplay.
Terrain/map rules and layouts from the current Spearhead & Core Rules will be used.
If you have any questions, or want to double check if you can use something as a Proxy, please contact Alan at [email protected]
