SOUS LE RADAR — quatrième édition
Festival de découverte à La Boule Noire : quatre artistes français entre chanson, indie, folk et électro le 19 juin.
The Sous le Radar association will host the fourth edition of its music festival on Friday, June 19, at La Boule Noire, from 8 p.m. to midnight. Since 2023, Sous le Radar has brought together around 100 artists and more than 5,000 attendees through its festival and various events. With this new event, Sous le Radar reaffirms its ambition: to establish its festival as a platform for discovering, promoting, and connecting with the new faces of the French music scene. Spanning French chanson, pop, folk, grunge-inspired sounds, and electronic music, the lineup will spotlight four artists contributing to the renewal of musical creation in France.
Headlining this fourth edition, Fils Cara — the stage name of Marc G. Cannella — creates work that spans music production, writing, performance, and sound design. Inspired by pioneering musical movements, from John Cage to Yoko Ono, as well as by great lyrics, from Nick Cave to Kendrick Lamar and Joni Mitchell, he approaches each project as an opportunity to invent a new language.
Illa, a singer-songwriter, crafts sensitive French songs infused with bedroom pop, indie, and folk sounds. Her writing blends the personal and the political, with poetic, direct, and lucid lyrics.
Édouard Bielle will present a world situated halfway between 1970s aesthetics, romantic comedy, and a caustic take on everyday life. With his debut EP Loverdose, released on Cracki Records, he has made a name for himself with accessible and catchy melodies.
Woody will round out the lineup with a powerful voice and a raw, moving, and personal sound. Inspired by the great British and American vocalists, she blends organic and electronic elements into a direct style of music, driven by emotion and a connection with the audience.
Lieu: La Boule Noire, 120 boulevard de Rochechouart 75018 Paris.
