Live night at La Boule Noire showcasing emerging UK and Caribbean-influenced hip-hop artists Cap1talA, Saiming and Maylie
Cap1talA is a 23 year old rapper who grew up between Kent & Brixton, of Nigerian heritage. Cap’s influences combine Jazzy 90s Hip hop and soul with UK Grime. Cap focuses on introspective lyricism often about struggle, hustle, relationships, institutional inequality & mental health; it is both encouraging yet reflective at the same time.
Saiming is an artist from South London, known for his experimental fusion of grime, neo-jazz, and alternative hip-hop. Dubbed the “S-travagant Man,” he pairs razor-sharp lyricism with sample-driven, jazz-inspired production, crafting music that is both inventive and deeply rooted in UK culture.
At just 20 years old, Maylie is redefining the boundaries of a borderless urban music scene. Originally from the Caribbean, she grew up in an environment where music was a family affair, shaping from an early age a unique universe at the crossroads of rap, pop, afro, and electronic music. Influenced by icons like Erykah Badu and Rihanna, Maylie first honed her songwriting in English before effortlessly making French her own. After making waves with her debut single “Bijou Bijou,” she now asserts her identity with “Attitude,” a bold and self-assured track that confirms her status as an artist to watch — one who refuses to be boxed into labels.
