Underground Osaka club night with local and Tokyo DJs playing house, bass and techno
"Sludge" is an underground dance party held on the third Wednesday of every month at rakeraka, focusing on local DJs with impeccable taste. It's September! The lingering summer heat is still intense in Osaka at night, but we've invited DJs who will blow that heat away. Let's make the most of this perfect season for nightlife as the night breeze begins to cool things down. Without further ado, here are this month's guest DJs! "SCUM PRIEST" Straight from Tokyo!
He began his career as an abstract hip-hop DJ. The following year, he became a resident DJ for one of Japan's premier dubstep and bass music parties. Currently based in both Tokyo and Osaka, he is making waves across the local street and underground club scenes in both regions. His freestyle sets—centered on House, Bass, and Techno—are a sight to behold, igniting the dancefloor with a blend of dope vibes and raw passion!
"TERU" The mastermind behind "OSCILLATE"—a special party for Osaka's bass music lovers—and one of the hottest DJs driving the city's bass music scene. Fusing sharp percussion with heavy low-end frequencies, he embodies the spirit of DIY punk, UK rave culture, and Japanese minimalism. Oscillating between rhythm and sonic destruction, he delivers emotional yet dancefloor-focused sets that constantly balance tension with a visceral, physical energy.
Come experience a space where raw energy and deep connection merge! "matres" The mastermind behind "RAVING APE," a party that reconstructs the authentic rave experience on the dancefloor, centered on Rave, Hard, and Bass music. While rooted in Jungle and Hardcore, he possesses the flexibility to adapt his approach to the ever-changing atmosphere of the crowd.
His range spans from powerful breakbeats to the driving force of Hardcore; he excels not only at delivering intensity but also at weaving in moments of release and open space to create a sense of unity on the dancefloor. Having performed at the UK's Balter Festival as part of a Japanese crew…
