Slavery Explored

A free event exploring Britain's role in the slave trade to mark Black History Month.

Join us this October, as acclaimed author Gary M. Best gives a free illustrated talk on Britain's role in the African slave trade, with particular reference to the part played by the Bristol merchants, the sufferings inflicted on the enslaved, and the impact on racial prejudice. The talk will also briefly look at the issue of modern-day slavery.

There will be an opportunity for questions afterwards.
