Angus MacDonald: Carradale's Fisherman Artist Scotland | 2026 | 25 mins
A fishing village on the west coast of Scotland celebrates the work of an extraordinary man.
Angus MacDonald (1883-1963) was a fisherman from the Kintyre village of Carradale on the west coast of Scotland. He was also a prolific and talented artist, painting a wide range of subjects on tea chest lids, packing cases and any other surface he could find. The film documents how over seventy of his paintings were brought together for a pop-up exhibition in 2025.
It features interviews with the owners of some of the paintings and a critique of Angus's work by a local artist. We also hear the voice of the man himself.
Head Space Machines (A Creative Journey) UK | 2026 | 30 mins Director David Newman Cast Mark Stevens The war on waste is currently a major story all over the media. Plastics in the ocean are killing marine life, whilst chemicals do unknown damage to us and our environment. This short film explores the life of one man who has a unique way of responding to this problem. For over thirty years he's been creating an extraordinary collection of imaginary machines made from discarded items and general rubbish. Terrifying, yet dream-like in their conception, their beauty and detail will both amaze and fascinate you.
