Seen & Safe: Through the Lens

A photography project showcase exploring refuge and identity among Ukrainian women living in Birr, connecting their experiences to" The Law of the Innocents", enacted in Birr in 697 AD as an early legal protection for women, children and non-combatants. Through smartphone photography, participants weave a visual tapestry of images that together tell the story of being "Seen & Safe", where their phones are witnesses to their new lives. A digital version of the project will be on exhibition in St Brendan's Hall throughout Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival.
