The November 2026 Walk Club Edinburgh event (open to all)

Meet Granton Square outside the Claverhouse Army Reserve Centre (historically known as HMS Claverhouse) located at 8 Granton Square, Edinburgh, EH5 1HA

Our walk will take us along the front towards Newhaven. We will focus on nature, especially birds, and the artworks along the front. There will be some archaeology, plus local history of the first Granton School, the notorious railway accident, The Chain Pier, Trinity Station, and the shops / post office that used to operate along this stretch of Lower Granton Road.

We will then return via Trinity and down Wardie Steps.
