Screen Printing (Intermediate)

Develop your skills using photographic techniques and power-assisted screen printing tables. This course covers all aspects of how to construct a screenprint using images from photo stencils. You will first be shown examples of limited edition prints that were produced in DCA Print Studio. These examples demonstrate the range of mark making and types of images that can be used in screen printing. You will also try basic drawing and block-printing techniques, which can be used in your designs.

The following three weeks will include in-depth demonstrations for using the studio equipment to coat, expose, develop and print a screen. This course requires previous experience of screen printing at a beginner’s level.
