Scrap Store
Children aged 5-14 decorate a plain cape with scrap fabric, sparkles and glue, then take home an instant photo.
During the 45-minute activity, attendees will be welcomed to the 'Scrap Store' followed by an invitation to select a pre-made, plain cape to decorate. Children can draw on the fabric, glue on sparkles, ribbon, stars and skeletons, and add scrap fabric shapes with fabric glue or rivet holes.
The workshop highlights the potential re-use of old Halloween costumes that no longer fit, fabric leftovers from Void's previous workshops and offcuts from local fabric shops.
At the end of each workshop, we will take photos of the unique creations using an instant print thermal camera, which children can take home with them.
The workshop is aimed at children aged 5-14 and is funded by DCSDC.
