margomool is a British/Italian musician based in South‑East London uniquely fusing jazz‑inspired electronic music with hints of folk and soul. The vocalist and producer gravitates towards assorted influences, from Little Dragon to Dego to Beverley Glenn‑Copeland, painting sonic worlds that sing to queer existence and empathy as a revolutionary tool.
Coming from a self‑taught background, margomool cultivated their practice through London’s improvisational scene, going on to collaborate with globally recognised artists such as Allysha Joy, EX Generation & Harve. They have taken their own project across the UK & Europe, sharing lineups with the likes of Sarathy Korwar and Laura Misch on stages such as Love Supreme Jazz festival.
Queer Jazz exists to platform, nurture and celebrate the emerging queer jazz scene. Programmed by Tina Edwards and Arowah, they have put together an exciting monthly programme of innovative LGBTQI+ artists at The Vortex Jazz Club, supported by Arts Council England.
