At this hands-on workshop you will be walked through the process of pickling as our facilitator shares stories about the cultural connections between pickling and Palestinian dishes. This technique is essential for boosting flavour, preserving food, and reducing food waste. This event is child friendly! Ages 6+ This experience coincides with traditional harvest times and seasonal cycles. This workshop is part of Roots, Stories and Feasts, a project celebrating Palestinian culinary heritage, and preserving tradition through intergenerational learning. Join us for a series of knowledge shares through community cooking workshops! This project is generously funded by the City of Mississauga’s Small Projects Grant. Spaces are limited — reserve your spot to be part of this workshop rooted in knowledge sharing, and strengthening connections to cultural practices.
