Paper Lantern Making
A cosy lantern-making workshop — sketch your design, then build it with reed sticks, rice paper and fairy lights to take home.
Join us for a cosy and creative lantern making workshop, inspired by the West Oxford Lights Festival taking place this November.
We'll begin by sketching and experimenting with different shapes and designs on paper, helping you find the perfect form for your lantern. You'll then bring your design to life using natural reed sticks, rice paper and delicate fairy lights, creating a beautiful handmade lantern to take home with you!
Your finished lantern will make a lovely addition to a bedside table, coffee table or windowsill, or can even be used to bring a little extra glow to your garden or outdoor space.
No previous making experience is needed — just come along, get creative and enjoy a relaxing evening of making and community. All materials are provided.
