Outside Sounds Improvised electronic music & sound in a forest
Sunday 22nd November · Afternoon · Kelvin Heights · Queenstown Free / Koha · Limited to around 50 people
Outside Sounds is a small, low-key afternoon of live electronic music, played among the trees. There's no stage, no schedule and no pressure. It's just sound drifting through the forest, and a space to slow down, relax and switch off.
Everything is improvised, made live and in the moment - think part concert, part chill-out, part excuse to lie on the ground and watch the canopy move. You can get a taste of my music in the usual places: Youtube // Instagram // Bandcamp // Apple Music // Spotify
Who it's for Everyone. You don't need to know anything about electronic music, or anyone else there. Come on your own, bring a friend, bring the family (chill dogs on lead more than welcome!), then sit, lie down, close your eyes or just listen. This is being delivered with the help of the Three Lakes Cultural Trust's Creative Spaces project, bringing artists and spaces together.
What to bring A blanket or something to sit on (the forest however does a good job of cushioning with pine needles) Warm layers Water, and anything else that helps you get comfy Optional: leave your phone in your pocket for a while Good to know Location: Kelvin Heights/Queenstown - exact location revealed to ticket holders / on Instagram 7 days before. Time: 2pm - 4pm Tickets: free/ koha - this is a free event as I want this to be accessible to anyone, there are costs involved in organising and delivering this event, so koha (donation) is available if you can support ✌️ Getting there: There is free and easy public parking next to the venue, the forest means that prams or wheelchair access may be difficult - please feel free to contact me with any concerns. Weather: We are outdoors so a weather call will be made the day prior if need be. Any changes will be posted on Instagram @winterkeep.music Leave no trace: Please take your rubbish with you and look after the space and each other. I've been wanting to do this for a while, and I'd love you to be part of the first one. Just turn up and tune out. ✌️
Thanks to the Three Lakes Cultural Trust and Creative NZ for support and amazing organisation to help deliver this concert for the Creative Spaces Project .
