Operatic World Fair
An evening of operatic excerpts from composers around the globe, with bar, buffet and art activities at Ideal Glass Atelier.
International renown. The cutting-edge of technology. Global representatives gathered together to share advancements in their society.
This was the World's Fair, the phenomenon to which we can attribute the unveiling of La Tour Eiffel, Olmstead's landscaping technology, San Francisco's Japanese Tea Garden, Lima's Peruvian Pavillion, and even the first whispers of the telephone. Centered around a theme, modern expositions are a rare showing of intercultural collaboration.
Situated in such a vibrant city where cross-cultural exchange shapes every corner, thus begs the question: what would a New York City operatic exposition look like?
